SipNtrac® Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 9, 2026
Version 7
1. Overview and Scope
AdherePath Ventures LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Site, the SipNtrac® mobile application (the “App”), and the SipNtrac® SmartPad hardware (the “Device”) together as the “Service.” This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with the Service.
The Service is currently offered as a local-first wellness and hydration-tracking product for general wellness use by individuals, caregivers, and wellness-focused organizations. In this local-first phase of the Service, caregiver access is limited to shared physical access to the user’s device; no remote digital sharing or dashboard features are currently provided. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it is not a medical device unless we expressly state otherwise in a separate product-specific notice.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Site, the App, and the Device, because each may collect different categories of information and may involve different disclosures. If we later introduce cloud synchronization, caregiver dashboards, physician-facing tools, or AI-based analysis, we will provide a separate notice and may require additional opt-in consent before those features become available.
2. Local-First Data Architecture
SipNtrac® is designed so that hydration data generated by the App or Device is stored on the user’s device unless the user expressly opts in to a future cloud feature. We do not intentionally access or view your local hydration history except as necessary to provide support at your direction, troubleshoot technical issues, or support a future feature that you have separately chosen to enable.
No account is required to use the App's core local functionality. If you choose to create an account or enable a future cloud feature, additional terms and disclosures may apply. Because local hydration data may be stored on your phone or tablet, that data is also subject to your device settings, backups, and security controls.
3. Information We Collect
We collect limited administrative and technical information necessary to operate the Site, process purchases, provide customer support, maintain security, and improve technical reliability. We do not use hydration data for third-party behavioral advertising.
3.1 Information you provide directly
This may include your name, email address, billing and shipping information, and details about your support or inquiry. We do not store your full credit card number; payments are handled by third-party payment processors.
3.2 Local health data
Hydration-related data generated by the App or Device may include intake volumes, timestamps, hydration goals, reminders, and related user settings. This data is stored locally on your device unless you opt in to a future cloud feature. Because hydration data is stored locally on your device, deletion of the App may not remove device-level backups maintained by Apple or Android services.
3.3 Automatically collected technical data and log files
We automatically collect certain information and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (“ISP”), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, clickstream data, device model, app performance data, and crash logs. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users’ movements around the Site, gather demographic information about our user base, and better tailor our Service to our users’ needs.
The App may use Bluetooth functionality to communicate locally with the SipNtrac® Device. Bluetooth communication occurs only when enabled on your device and may be controlled through your device settings.
3.4 Pixel tags and cookies
In addition to essential cookies used for Site functionality, we may use Pixel Tags and analytics cookies. Pixel Tags are tiny graphic images with unique identifiers used to understand Site engagement and help ensure our communications are relevant to users. We use cookies and similar technologies to understand traffic, improve Site performance, and enhance the user experience.
We use essential cookies necessary for the Site to function, including session management and shopping cart functionality. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Site.
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies, though doing so may affect your ability to use certain features of the Site. We do not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies on the Site. If we add advertising or retargeting services in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain your consent before activating those services.
3.5 Analytics services
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, including which pages are most frequently visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic originates. Google Analytics collects information such as IP addresses, browser types, device types, and pages visited. This information is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not currently use any other third-party analytics or advertising platforms. If we add additional analytics or advertising services in the future, we will update this Policy accordingly.
3.6 Do Not Track signals
We do not currently respond to browser 'Do Not Track' signals. However, you may opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the opt-out tool described in Section 3.5, and you may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. If you have a privacy request or concern, you may also contact us directly at legal@adherepathventures.com.
4. Apple Health / HealthKit Integration
If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, SipNtrac® may write hydration data to Apple Health through HealthKit when you turn on the relevant setting and grant the required permission in iOS. SipNtrac® does not import, read, or synchronize Apple Health data into the SipNtrac® App.
You may disable Apple Health integration or revoke permission at any time through your iPhone’s Privacy & Security settings, the Health app, or the App’s settings. Any sharing of Apple Health data with family members, friends, or a healthcare provider is controlled by you through Apple’s tools and settings, and is governed by Apple’s privacy practices, not by the SipNtrac® App.
SipNtrac may use Apple’s Foundation Models framework to process certain analytics and intelligence features on supported Apple devices. These features are designed to run on devices where available, and any related data handling is described in this Privacy Policy.
4.1 Push Notifications and Apple APNs
If you enable push notifications, the App may use Apple Push Notification service (“APNs”) to send reminders, alerts, and service-related messages to your device. To deliver notifications, we may transmit device token information and notification content to Apple. Apple may temporarily store notification content for delivery when a device is offline. We do not intend for push notifications to contain sensitive hydration history, and you can disable push notifications through your device or App settings.
Hydration data remains local-first, but push notification encrypted content and routing information may be processed by Apple solely to deliver reminders and alerts.
5. How We Use Information
We use administrative and technical information to operate and improve the Service, process orders, provide support, communicate with you, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. We may also use this information to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze Site usage, and improve product performance.
If you choose to use optional communication features, we may use your contact information to send service-related notices, support responses, or updates you have requested.
When we receive testimonials and feedback, we may request your permission to post them on our Site. We will share your feedback with your first name and last initial only, and we will not post testimonials without your consent. If a testimonial is provided in exchange for any incentive, we will disclose that relationship as required by the FTC Endorsement Guidelines.
If we later offer cloud-based features, we will describe those features separately and obtain any required consent before processing hydration data in the cloud.
If you provide your email address in connection with a purchase or inquiry, we may send you order confirmations, shipping updates, and service-related communications necessary to fulfill your order. We may also send you promotional communications about SipNtrac® products and updates, but only if you have opted in to receive them. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link in any promotional email or by contacting us at support@sipntrac.com. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and will not send unsolicited commercial email.
We do not currently send SMS or text marketing messages. If we introduce SMS communications in the future, we will obtain your express written consent before doing so, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
6. How We Share Information
We share information only with the following categories of service providers that help us operate the Site, process payments, and fulfill orders:
Payment processing: We use Stripe Inc. to process payment card transactions. Stripe receives your billing information necessary to process your payment. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe's privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy.
E-commerce platform: Our Site is hosted and operated on the Wix.com platform. Wix may collect certain technical and usage data in connection with your use of the Site. Wix's privacy practices are described at wix.com/about/privacy.
Shipping and fulfillment: We share your name, shipping address, and order details with shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS as necessary to deliver your order.
Email communications: We may use a third-party email service provider to send order confirmations and, if you have opted in, promotional communications.
If you enable Alexa reminders, the App may create reminder events in a calendar you select. Your calendar provider and Amazon Alexa may process event titles, timing information, and related account information to synchronize and announce those reminders. This feature is controlled through your device, calendar, and Alexa settings.
These service providers are contractually required to use your information only as necessary to perform services for us and may not use it for their own marketing purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share local health data for third-party advertising.
We may disclose information if required by subpoena, court order, regulatory request, or similar lawful process, or if needed to protect the security or integrity of the Service.
We may share some or all of your personal information in connection with or during the negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, or dissolution, transaction, or proceeding involving the sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets. In the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, personal information may also be transferred as a business asset.
If we later offer cloud synchronization or caregiver sharing, we will provide additional disclosure about what data is shared, with whom, and for what purpose before those features become active.
7. Wellness Disclaimer
SipNtrac® is a wellness monitoring tool and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Hydration goals, reminders, and measurements are intended as general guidance and should not replace advice from a healthcare professional, especially if you have a medical condition or a prescribed fluid restriction.
SipNtrac® is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or HIPAA-covered entity, and the Service is not intended to create a provider-patient relationship.
If you use the Service in a clinical or treatment context, you must rely on the guidance of your healthcare provider and any separate product terms or notices that apply to that use.
Users should not rely on SipNtrac® as the sole source of hydration monitoring or safety-related decision-making. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability of hydration estimates, reminders, or Device measurements.
Additional limitations, disclaimers, and warranty terms may be described in the Terms and Conditions.
8. Your Privacy Rights
The Service is currently offered only to residents of the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or obtain a copy of certain personal information we maintain about you. The rights available to you depend on applicable law and the type of data involved.
If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, subject to legal exceptions. If you are located in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we process personal data only where we have a legal basis to do so, such as consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, or legal obligation, as applicable.
If health data remains stored only on your device, you control access to it through your device and App settings. If you later opt in to a cloud feature, we will provide a separate notice describing how that data is stored, shared, and controlled.
Privacy Request: To exercise applicable privacy rights, contact legal@adherepathventures.com.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Parents or guardians should not provide information on behalf of a child unless they are authorized to do so under applicable law.
10. Data Security
Because local hydration data may be stored on your device, its security depends in part on your own device protections. We recommend using a passcode, biometrics, and keeping the operating system up to date.
We also use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Site and business data under our control, including access controls and secure vendor management. If a security incident affects covered health data in a way that triggers applicable law, we will provide notice as required by the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule and other applicable laws.
If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us immediately at legal@adherepathventures.com.
11. Retention and Deletion
We retain administrative data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may also retain limited technical logs for security, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
If local hydration data is stored only on your device, you can remove it by deleting it within the App or uninstalling the App, subject to any backups or device-level storage that may remain under your control. If we later offer cloud storage, we will explain any cloud retention and deletion terms separately.
12. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that administrative data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required by law, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any disputes arising under it are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. AdherePath Ventures LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date, post the revised policy on the Site, and may also notify users in the App if the change is significant. If a change affects how we handle local health data or future cloud features, we will provide additional notice and, where required, obtain renewed consent or opt-in. Future analytics or AI-based wellness insights, if offered, may involve additional processing of user data and will be described separately before activation.
15. Contact Us
If you have any questions, privacy requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy, contact AdherePath Ventures LLC at legal@adherepathventures.com. Please include the nature of your request, such as access, deletion, correction, or a question about data sharing. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
